Working with rough, natural fabric is unpredictable. It seems to have a mind and body of its own. The vest, front and back, took on some extra seams and tucks in sizing down for a petite customer. The ruffed-collar coat.....still in the undecided stage. This is the second, but not necessarily final, back-piece.

Side-kick Miki of Moondance Wear has been on an extended family visit to Japan. We at Corey&Co. miss her greatly, but at least she is sewing and sent some goods to remind us of her spirited self. Skirts, dresses, pouches fit right in with the on-hand goods in the shop.

stockpiling for summer

The sewing machine has been humming here. I am trying to get a bit ahead before the hi-hello-how-have-you-been? spring-busy days get into full-tilt. The color range is as expected; no pastels or anything even close. Neutrals with a spot of color, I'd say. I have even been lugging the serger home for the day off, just to squeak in a bit of extra stitch-time. Now I have TWO messy work-spaces !
