I have been making summer 'frocks' using Marimekko yardage. The prints are bold and have plenty of personality of their own, so I keep it simple, maybe changing up the neckline or sleeve. Basic shapes seem the best way to let the prints sing. The bottom photo shows a striped ARCHERIE dress hanging in the foreground.![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjs6s_TSgOi0oomPT25MuoNxY0z3xPI6Ue4FsznEpOLPgOYd07H9vwOA0p2DawHOmOVQYiD2ijpIH0rosA3O1cjCipwLtSIgLXgbJBJikSqT0VSoBHXUKxbn8pEHDXTPQk4DD9fWncFBGg/s1600/IMG_5436.JPG)
